SISTER BLANKET BEARS
One day a grandmother was helping her two granddaughters clean their rooms. As we know young children’s rooms many times are not as tidy as we sometimes would like them to be. This grandmother was going to help these granddaughters create a little more organized room for themselves. The girls made sure to tell their grandmother, “Grandma, please don’t throw our baby blankets away. Don’t throw them away or get rid of them.”
Grandma had a great idea. She retrieved those two special baby blankets from their room to create a special Christmas surprise. The blankets were transformed into huggable Sugarplum Attic Blanket Memory Bears. The special binding that once was rubbed between their little fingers, was now part of the bear's ears. Can you imagine the firls opening their gifts that year? Total joy -- the biggest smiles you can imagine!
The bears are a way for the girls to keep their special blankets with great memories. They can still hold that little corner of the quilt or rub their fingers through that special fabric. They can still keep and sleep with those bears too.
I was able to save a lot of those things so they can remember those feelings that those special blankets held for them since they were little. They get to keep that special part of their childhood that is so embedded with great memories and memories of security and love.
